What could be a more magical dining experience than in a museum surrounded by wonderful works of art?
Pinacoteca Civica of Ascoli Piceno provided this very backdrop for an exhibition I was delighted to organise called "Bertozzi&Casoni. Minimum Leftovers", making this incredible experience possible.
From their headquarters in Imola near Bologna, Giampaolo Bertozzi and Stefano Dal Monte Casoni, protagonists of the national and international contemporary artscene, have made ceramics their favorite medium; creating elements in which formal hyperrealism achieves surprising results.
Walking through the halls of the Pinacoteca Civica, Bertozzi&Casoni's art works interact and contrast with the historic antique paintings and sculptures with constant statements and symbolisms. In this exquisite location, full of art and history, the exhibition’s opening gourmet dinner took place with over 200 guests and saw the collaboration of three chefs with a six course menu, from appetisers to dessert, all accompanied by the renowned wines of the Consorzio Vini Piceni.
Mise en place and suggestive installations welcomed the diners who were able to taste an array of incredible dishes, prepared by the team of chefs, in an exclusive setting such as that of the Pinacoteca Civica in which Bertozzi&Casoni's amazing ceramics found a spectacular collocation.
This event proved that dining in a museum is not only possible, but truly inspiring.
I believe that art has many forms and that the fine art of excellent food and wine is a perfect way to promote, and unite, art and history .
This was my mission when with my team at Verticale D’Arte I decided to set up a series of ART AND FOOD© events at the time I had no idea what the outcome would be, and we have been delighted with the response.
Come and discover our unique treasures! I will be happy to set up a personalised tour or a special event with the help of my team.
